The Requirement

The team, which includes scientists, physicians, and engineers, works together to build, update, and maintain a mathematical model that simulates the human cell. Previously, they used different third-party systems that operated independently.

They wanted a centralised system to improve collaboration and provide a consistent, user-friendly interface which integrated the tasks, workflows and processes and hasten the completion of a task.

Our Approach

Twist Open successfully integrated various third-party software systems to create a consistent, user-friendly interface with intuitive menus. We interviewed scientists, physicians, and developers to understand each role's involvement in the drug bio-simulation process.

This integration simplified the interface and improved the user experience by allowing for customised views. Twist Open's ongoing enhancements ensured that the interface remained flexible and adaptable to user needs, significantly improving the product's usability and effectiveness.

Designed to assess drug effectiveness

The audience includes engineers, scientists, and physicians. Scientists and engineers update mathematical models of human cells, while physicians analyse drug efficacy reports based on patient profiles to assess effectiveness.

Integration of Different Systems:

Bio simulation of cells was spread across multiple systems, reducing productivity. We redesigned the interface to integrate functionalities of different systems, understanding tasks, workflows, and processes in detail. This allowed for seamless integration and customization of views.

Simple and Intuitive

We created straightforward navigation menus to ensure users can easily find and access different systems and features. We simplified workflows to minimise the number of steps required to complete tasks.

Customizable UI

We made the UI responsive to work well on different devices and screen sizes. Users can also customise and create multiple views according to their preferences.

The outcome

A consolidated tool with an easy-to-use interface that significantly improved the user experience. The tool featured multiple customised views, with a minimal and simple design that ensured flexibility and ease of use. Scientists were able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, which improved their productivity significantly.
